Workers with Disabilities

Massachusetts residents living with a disability can get training and other job-related support through a set of targeted programs. These programs help people identify career goals, smoothly enter the workforce, and find the supports they need to succeed.

This section of the Jobs and Workforce Budget details state programs that primarily fund job supports for workers with disabilities. It is important to note, however, that some programs not included in this tool, such as programs run through the Department of Mental Health, also provide job supports for disabled workers. We do not include them here because they are embedded within larger state line items that also serve other functions.
